What is U Turn Round?
The U-Turn Round is our unique, third generation, wind-up dynamo powered digital sound store. Weather and vandal resistant, the U-Turn Round is designed for external use. Now updatable via the included USB Programming Dongle.
How does it work?
Select, Turn, Listen…
Visitors can select a message to listen to through the selector dial, which offers up to eight message options. Just a few turns of the handle is enough to play any message in full, with no need for continuous winding once playback begins. Just relax, listen and enjoy.
The U-Turn Round is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Designed to be fitted onto a pole or mounted to a wall (as standard), the U-Turn Round’s independence from mains power means it can be installed virtually anywhere, including wildlife sites, canal towpaths, nature trails, play areas, zoological gardens and Sites of Special Scientific Interest. We also offer an Oversized Through Panel for the U-Turn Round, for installations that involve fitting into a panel.
Batwings
U-Turns have 2 shaped inserts on the front panel which we call (due to their shape) Batwings. Our personalisation service offers etching of these U-Turn Round Batwings to your requirements. Find out more here.
Version 3.5
Version 3.5 boasts improved functionality and easier updating of content through the new USB programmer. Now supporting mp3 files updated via USB Stick, the ability to enable or disable end of message beeps, single track usage statistics, overall play statistics and 10 volume levels, we’re confident the U-Turn is now even better than before!
